We've compiled a list of some programs that you might find useful when preparing your files. If you have a favorite of your own that is not listed please tell us! We can add it to the list to let others know as well.

• Adobe Acrobat: Acrobat is the best way to proof your document prior to any hardcopy output. Acrobat Reader is a free download from Adobe. However, if you want to produce high resolution, press ready PDF files from any of your layout applications you will want to check out Acrobat Professional.

• StuffIt Expander & DropStuff: The standard for compression/decompression on the Macintosh. Expander decompresses a wide range of formats including .zip, .bin and .hqx. With DropStuff you can create self expanding files for the Mac or Windows.

• WinZip: Windows users looking for more functionality than the built-in .zip capabilities of Windows XP need look no further than WinZip. Available for most versions of Microsoft Windows, WinZip should be able to handle all of your compression/decompression needs.
